Steel vs. Aluminum

At a time when the Ford F-150 was touting its all-aluminum bed, Chevy wanted to counterpunch and remind people that we still had a steel bed. We correctly assumed most people would find steel the tougher choice. Here are just a couple of examples of the fun we had making memorable comparisons between aluminum and steel.

 In Bear, we ushered unsuspecting truck people into a room where they were met with an aluminum cage and a steel cage. Oh, yeah, then we released a hungry grizzly bear into the room and let them choose which cage they would run to to save themselves. Let’s just say steel prevailed!

In Aluminum Man, we literally introduced a new superhero to a rabid group of Marvel-type comic/movie fans. Their disappointment in the new character was so fun to watch. This film was shot on the cheap and is still one of my all-time faves.
